Hockey Skates Size Chart

Tip: Hockey skates typically run 1 to 1.5 sizes smaller than your regular shoe size. Size transitions:
  • Youth Sizes: For kids with US shoe sizes 9-13.5
  • Junior Sizes: For kids/teens with US shoe sizes 1-7.5
  • Senior Sizes: For teens/adults with US shoe sizes 8+

For growing players, consider going up a half size to allow room for growth.

How to Measure for Skates:

  1. Measure your foot using a standard sizing device at a shoe store.
  2. Use the chart below to convert your EU or US shoe size to a hockey skate size.

Width Considerations:

Hockey skates come in different widths to accommodate different foot shapes. Most brands offer the following options:

  • D: Standard width (most common)
  • EE: Wide width
  • C: Narrow width (less common)

Hockey Helmets Size Chart

Important: A properly fitted helmet is crucial for safety. The helmet should be snug but comfortable, with no pressure points.

How to Measure for a Helmet:

  1. Use a soft measuring tape to measure the circumference of your head about 1 inch above your eyebrows.
  2. Match your measurement to the size chart below.
  3. The helmet should fit snugly all around with no pressure points.

How to Measure:

Measure the circumference of your chest at the fullest point. Shoulder pads should cover the shoulders, upper chest, upper back, and upper arms without restricting movement.

How to Measure:

Measure the length from the middle of your bicep to the middle of your forearm with your arm slightly bent. Elbow pads should cover from mid-bicep to mid-forearm.

How to Measure:

Measure from the end of your elbow to the tip of your middle finger with your arm extended. Hockey gloves are sized in inches.

Tip: Hockey pants should be secure at the waist but allow freedom of movement. The bottom of the pants should meet the top of your shin guards when in your hockey stance.

Hockey Sticks Size Chart

How to Measure:

Stand in your stocking feet. The stick should reach between your chin and nose when the stick is placed vertically with the blade flat on the floor.
